Fung Lai Chiu is a seasoned procurement and supply chain expert with over 30 years of cross-industry experience in health technology, electronics manufacturing, packaging, and public transportation sectors. He is the founder of Be Supply Chain Buddy Limited, a platform dedicated to empowering SMEs with simplified, AI-powered supply chain solutions.

Before founding Be Supply Chain Buddy, Fung held senior leadership roles at Philips Electronics Hong Kong, where he managed strategic procurement across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Greater China. His portfolio included medical devices, indirect services, and solutions procurement, overseeing categories ranging from IT systems and infrastructure to professional services and equipment maintenance.

During his tenure at Celestica Hong Kong, Fung led both direct and indirect commodity management across 14 Asian sites, contributing over USD 4 million in savings and driving procurement innovation through digital platforms and policy alignment.

His early career includes roles with New Island Printing, Dai Nippon Printing, and MTR Corporation, giving him a well-rounded understanding of supply chain operations from both manufacturing and service-based perspectives.

Fung holds a Master of Science in Procurement Management from the University of Strathclyde, and a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from Hong Kong Baptist University. He is also a certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
