FUNG is a Procurement and Supply Chain Leader with over 30 years of international experience in helping organizations improve procurement performance, optimize supply chain operations, and enable digital transformation. His cross-industry expertise covers Health Technology, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), Printing & Packaging, and Public Transport sectors.

As the Founder and CEO of BE Supply Chain Buddy Limited, FUNG is dedicated to helping SMEs simplify, optimize, and digitize their supply chain operations through AI-enabled digital solutions. Combining extensive procurement leadership experience with practical technology knowledge, he helps organizations improve sourcing effectiveness, streamline procurement processes, enhance supplier collaboration, strengthen operational visibility, and build more resilient supply chains.

Before founding BE Supply Chain Buddy Limited, FUNG held key procurement management and leadership positions at Philips and Celestica.

At Philips, he led strategic procurement activities for Health Systems, managing a comprehensive portfolio of third-party products and services supporting healthcare technology solutions. His responsibilities covered medical devices, medical accessories, injectors, hardware and software solutions, helium supply, installation services, RF cages, chillers, equipment repair and maintenance, power supplies, building works, and professional services. Through managing these diverse categories, he developed extensive experience in complex healthcare procurement, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration across different markets.

During his tenure at Celestica, FUNG developed extensive regional and global commodity management experience through two major areas of responsibility. In the first phase, he managed regional direct commodity procurement supporting manufacturing operations across Asian sites, focusing on supplier management, sourcing strategies, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness.

In the second phase, he transitioned to global indirect commodity management, managing a broad portfolio including Capital & Equipment, Chemicals, Facilities & Real Estate, Hotel & Travel, Human Resources, IT Hardware & Software, and MRO. He also gained significant experience in digital sourcing initiatives, including e-auction processes, to enhance sourcing effectiveness, transparency, and supplier competitiveness.

Earlier in his career, FUNG gained valuable manufacturing supply chain experience with organizations including New Island Printing and Dai Nippon Printing. His experience with MTR Corporation further strengthened his understanding of public utility operations, government-related procurement practices, and formal tender management processes, including supplier evaluation, commercial assessment, and contract award procedures.

FUNG has strong expertise in digital procurement and supply chain technologies, including SAP Ariba Guided Buying, Source-to-Contract (S2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platforms, and e-sourcing solutions. He combines business process knowledge, technology enablement, and hands-on industry experience to help organizations improve procurement governance, operational efficiency, and supply chain resilience.

FUNG holds a Master of Science in Procurement Management from the University of Strathclyde and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS).
